Eyebrow piercing-18 or 16 guage?

I’ve had my eyebrow pierced at a 16 gauge since May 22, 2007 (so about 9 months and a week). I’ve always thought the 18 gauges were cuter because the balls are smaller, but they don’t have as many options as they do for the 16 gauge because 16 and sometimes 14 is more common.

If I start wearing 18 gauge jewelry will my holes get as small as the 18 gauge holes? or will I still be able to fit the 16 gauge jewelry in my piercing? Are there any reasons someone shouldn’t have an 18 gauge eyebrow piercing-meaning is there any reason why 16 gauge is the standard and not 18?

it will probably shrink smaller you can get very small attachments for 16 g thogh just look around your piercing shops
