I like both gold and silver but I like gold best. It looks better against my skin tone whereas I only like silver earrings (as it stands out nicely against black hair). I like delicate, small gold necklaces. They can have a pendant but it has to have an intricate/pretty design, maybe with a jewel. I mostly wear foreign necklaces from Somalia or Saudi Arabia as it suits my tastes more.

I like smallish dangly silver earrings. Hoop earrings are okay, just not too big. I have a small face so it looks weird if it is.

I don’t wear bracelets. I have really thin wrists and a thin upper arm so bangles move around a lot and are really noisy. I generally don’t wear bracelets at all, they don’t make them small enough (unless they’re expensive). But my mom has a few gold bangles that I can just squeeze my hand through that fit that I wear to parties or weddings. Not often though since I often lose bracelets and those are precious to her.

I don’t know what initial rings are but I don’t wear rings. I lose them a lot. But occasionally I wear the thin gold ones with a pretty jewel or design. I have one I love soo much but almost never wear because I know I’ll lose it. I wish I could upload a pic of it but I lost it.

Yes, I’ve always wanted those gold necklaces with your name in handwriting! It was popular among my community a few years ago and you would get it custom made in Arabia but my aunt didn’t get one for me when we gave her the money last time she went. She bought us something else instead. Maybe I’ll go myself next year..

Why? Because over time, I’ve learned what looks best on me and I just have my own personal tastes, influenced by my culture.
