About proposing, need halp desperately!?

My dad is divorced and wants to ask his girlfriend to marry him tonight. OMG im so nervous and scared n stuff just bcuzits akward for me.:( but my dad asked if i had any ideas on how to bring it up and i said make her dinner and set the empty jewelry case next to her plate so she sees it. and when she asks about it propose to hwer. my other idea was to get a fancy glass for him and her and fill it with water. then put the ring in her glass. i was just wondering which idea u thought was better? also if the 2nd one would the water hurt the ring? and last any ideas for me to stop feeling akward???i was expecting it and preparing mself but still…..im 13 if that helkps you put urself in my position. Anyway of proposing is sweet, but
DO NOT PUT A RING IN FOOD OR DRINK!

I know this sounds ridiculous, but a family friend of ours actually choked on her engagement ring, it was in her wine glass and it slipped into her throat and she almost died.

Seriously, if you look it up online, choking on rings in food and water is common, sounds silly but it’s true.

Go with the first, or even better, Get a single flower and tie the ring to it with a string, and then just offer the flower without saying anything about the ring.
