Diamond Earrings Vintage

Cartilage piercing? ?

I’m going to be getting my cartilage pierced soon but I had a few questions. I did my research, but there were some things I was confused about.

1. When you clean it daily, do you soak it in salt water & for how long? Towel dry it afterwards or air dry? 2-3 times a day, correct?
2. I want a diamond stud. Oh! Which brings me to something else. A lot of people say having a hoop is better, but I personally don’t care much for them. I find diamond studs more suiting for my style. Umm, my style is girly with touches of vintage & bit of bohemian. I don’t know if my wardrobe would have anything to do with what I choose as an earring, but yeah. Advice/answers?

i have 3 cartilage piercings and have never had a problem with any of them.
instead of salt water….you need liquid antibacterial scent free soap and you only need to wash it once a day. the piercer will give you a solution to use 3 times a day specifically made for ear piercings.
a hoop may be a good idea if this is your first cartilage piercing bc it might swell pretty bad and a hoop will be more comfortable if this happens. i always got studs and never had any issues so it’s up to you really. oh and don’t be freaked out of it bleeds for a few hours. that’s normal depending on the area of the ear you’re piercing. do noooooot take it out or change your piercing for at least 3 months (sometimes longer). cartilage heals really really fast. if you take it out before its done healing..you might not be ale to get it back in.
