Men Earrings Left Or Right

In men. does it mean different thing if one wears a earring in the left or right ear?

We were always taught the saying, “Left is right and Right is wrong?” I don’t know that it would be considered wrong, but an earring in Right ear means you are Gay. Normally is it thought that a guy with earrings in both ears is bi-sexual.
