“Do elves (human sized ones) show status by jewelry as well as clothes? What would gold jewelry like a headband, necklace and bracelet-ring mean? High status like royalty? Would that person be considered the next in line for a throne because of such jewelry? Or is such jewelry just a gift from a family member? Would silver be for someone in a lower status?”

as far a si know only the king wears any sort of crown or such. this is something i have never really asked any of the elfs i know… i may have to look into it

so i asked my lovely elf friend and this is what she says. elf nobles dont wear crowns or things of that sort it is their clothing. basically wearing gold or silver shows an elf to be noble or having a rank of some sort. as for iron, iron itself is not “toxic” to elfs in fact they work with it very well. iron weapons can hurt elfs, but only magical weapons can kill them. just to clear that up.
